CPU as the "heart" of computer, its calorific value is very amazing. CPU will heat the heat value into the heat pipe according to the heat conducting silicone grease, so as to ensure the purpose of heat dissipation. So how to disassemble and replace the heat sink thermal grease correctly?


If the computer has not removed the thermal conductive silicone grease for many years, after removing the heat pipe for heat dissipation, the thermal conductive paste will remain on the heat pipe cooling base and the surface of the integrated IC. Generally, the silicone grease at this time may turn hard. Therefore, try to completely clean them before applying new thermal conductive silicone grease. You can use a small straight shovel to remove the residual silicone grease, and then use thin materials such as camera lens cloth to clean and wipe the integrated IC surface or alcohol cotton sheet to make the surface bright, clean and tidy.

 

Squeeze an appropriate amount of heat-conducting paste in the middle of the integrated IC, spread the heat-conducting paste on the surface of the integrated IC with the help of a finger protector or a small straight shovel, and apply the heat-conducting paste evenly as much as possible. If there is no small straight shovel, you can select other transparent sheets and cut them, and the width should be a little higher than the surface of the CPU. Then apply the heat transfer paste evenly from one corner of the CPU to one direction, and cover all the CPU surfaces. The thinner the thermal conductive silicone grease is coated, the more flat the floor area will be. If the mirror glass sandwich glass design is adopted at the bottom of the heat pipe, the thermal conductive silicone grease can be coated very thin, so thin that it can show the expected effect of translucency. The coating shall not be too thick, which will not have the effect of heat conduction, but will cause pressure to the operation of the integrated IC. However, it should not be applied too thin, otherwise the gap cannot be covered, and the expected effect of heat dissipation will not be obvious.

Instructions

Clean the application surface first, then stir the silicone grease evenly, and then apply the silicone grease to the surface by dot coating, brushing or screen printing. If screen printing is used, it is recommended to use 60-80 mesh nylon screen, and a rubber scraper with a hardness of about 70. When coating, apply silicone grease at about 45 degrees to the coated surface. After the operation, unused products should be sealed and stored in time.
